Back Bay Movers
Much of Back Bay is often defined by it’s brownstones which are set on wide, tree-lined, one-way streets. As a matter of fact, all but three of Back Bay’s streets handle one-way traffic only. Back Bay is also home to many notable and historic buildings, such as the Museum of Fine Arts, which opened it’s doors in 1876, and the area’s tallest building, the sixty story John Hancock Tower which was built in 1972.
The Back Bay area is unusually susceptible to seismic activity because of the use of landfill in it’s neighborhoods. If a large earthquake were to take place, it would cause serious damage to much of Back Bay’s architecture. People expect certain areas of California to be considered high-risk areas for earthquakes, but few know that Back Bay is also considered so. The building codes in the area have been modified to reflect this risk although earthquakes are not a frequent occurrence, the damage that could be wrought from a large earthquake would be considerable in this area.
