I was a bit stressed out for a couple of good reasons. First of all, I had just received a job promotion that was going to give me a new load of responsibilities. But, more importantly, I was going to have to relocate my entire family to the city of Boston. On top of that, I had never lived anywhere near Boston before. I’m not even from that part of the country! But my sense of adventure was pretty high, and my family seemed excited about the prospects of living in Boston, so things weren’t so bad. The fist step, though was the move, itself.
I wanted to make this job-related relocation to Boston a practical and methodical exercise. That meant that i would need to find the most professional movers possible. I had opted for a Boston company, since they would know the area and be able to help us out in several ways, other than just loading furniture and driving the truck. it was important to me that I find a company that would understand the stress that the move would ultimately place on my family, even though they were all putting on a “brave face” and doing their best to support me in this job change.
Anyway, since I am considered a bit of a “veteran” when it comes to shopping for goods and services online, I immediately went to my PC and started looking for Boston shipping and moving companies on the Internet. Of course, my search engine pulled up quite a few. All I needed to do, at this point, was to start asking for quotes. This much I already knew. I really enjoyed seeing the quick responses that I got in my email. The quotes were coming in pretty fast and they were all pretty reasonable. This was good, since my budget was going to be a bit tight.
After I had all of the quotes that I wanted, I sat down with my wife and we started comparing prices together. But here’s the thing, you don’t want to go by just the price alone. You really want movers that are professional and really know what they are doing. I was able to determine the level of a company’s professionalism by going back online and checking out former customer feedback. You’d be surprised at how willing former customers are to let folks know their past experiences with a company. This is especially true if there was a problem.
