Mission Hill Movers
Much of Mission Hill, a neighborhood of Boston, MA, has many freestanding homes which were built by the area’s first wealthy landowners. Along with brick row houses, the neighborhood also has triple-deckers, which is a type of architecture unique to many of Boston’s suburbs.
Much of the area was an orchard farm back in the 1800′s which supported large country estates of wealthy Boston families. Also famous for it’s churches, one of note is the Greek Orthodox Cathedral which graces Parker Street and was built between 1862 and 1927. The cathedral has been referred to as “majestic” because of the chandeliers and huge stained glass windows that adorn it. It is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
R&B singer Donna Summer is a resident of Mission Hill and among it’s notable residents which also include Will Blalock, an NBA player for the Detroit Pistons, and convicted terrorist and alleged member of Al Qaeda, neuroscientist Aafia Siddiqui.
