South South Boston Movers
Once known by the name of Dorchester Neck, South Boston Mass is one of Boston’s more densely populated Irish-American neighborhoods. House prices in South Boston rank as some of the highest in the city.
South Boston has made a name for itself from early on. In the 1970′s the neighborhood gained wide-spread attention for opposing the desegregation of schools and then again in the 1990′s for advocating gay and lesbian rights to participate in the annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade.
Numerous box-office hit movies have been filmed in South Boston. A few of these include “Good Will Hunting” and “The Departed”, both starring actor Matt Damon, and “Mystic River”, which was directed by legend Clint Eastwood and which featured movie greats Kevin Bacon and Sean Penn. Faith Lehane who stars as Eliza Dushku in the popular TV Series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” is from South Boston originally.
